Requested Maintenance

Painters USA was contracted to enhance the safety and visibility of the facility’s floors through professional walkway and line striping services. The scope included three key areas:

Walking Path: 1,260 lineal feet
Pallet Storage: 260 lineal feet
Dock Area: 150 lineal feet

Decision Driver and Timing

Wrisco's driving factors for this project were safety and operational efficiency. Clearly marked walkways and designated pallet storage and dock areas are essential to ensure personnel safety and streamline facility operations. Maintenance was scheduled to minimize disruption and effectively coordinate with Wrisco's operations.

Scope of Work

Safety Procedures: Adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and Painters USA’s additional safety measures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like gloves, spray suits, respirators, hard hats, steel toe boots, and safety glasses. Work areas were also demarcated with cones and caution tape.
Preparation: Wrisco removed all items from the working areas ahead of time. Painters USA preceded by mechanically diamond grinding the old lines to remove any failed coating and create the necessary profile for new coating adhesion.
Layout and Approval: New 4-inch lines were laid out with tape, and a Wrisco representative approved the layout before the application of the new coating.
Application: Applied two coats of PPG Fast Dry 35 in Safety Yellow color. This was followed by one coat of PIP 2100 Diamond Wear clear urethane coating to ensure durability and longevity.
Clean-Up: Upon completion, tape was removed and all materials were disposed of in an on-site dumpster.

The layout of the new lines was meticulously planned and reviewed by a Wrisco representative prior to application, ensuring precision and compliance with the client's safety standards.

The use of PPG Fast Dry 35 and PIP 2100 Diamond Wear coatings provided a tough and durable finish that met Wrisco's high standards for safety and operational efficiency.
