Facility Description

In the bustling city of Lancaster, Texas, a critical warehouse within the client's expansive network faced a unique challenge. The facility, vital for storing energy drinks, spans 3,600 sq. ft. and is pivotal for the continuous flow of goods.

Problem Statement

The warehouse's concrete flooring began to deteriorate due to the acidic nature of spilled energy drinks, a scenario that could potentially interrupt the vital logistics and storage services provided by our client.

Objective

To implement a robust, chemical-resistant flooring solution capable of withstanding the corrosive effects of energy drink spills, thus ensuring uninterrupted operations within the warehouse.

Scope of Work

A specialized PPG flooring system was chosen for the task - the 610 SL epoxy, renowned for its chemical-resistant properties, paired with a siloxane top coat for enhanced durability. The scope of work for the 3,600 sq. ft. area included:

Preparation of the existing concrete surface to ensure optimal adhesion of the new epoxy system.
Application of 610 SL epoxy to provide a strong, impermeable base layer.
Finishing with a siloxane top coat, imparting additional chemical resistance and ease of maintenance.
