Client and Facility Overview

Our long-time client operates several industrial warehouses and offices in Champaign/Urbana, Illinois. The facility is expansive and includes significant warehouse, manufacturing and office space. The outdoor storage area was recently expanded, requiring extensive concrete paving.

Requested Maintenance

The most recent project required us to pour a new outdoor concrete storage area, complete with curbs and sidewalks. The total area of the job was 13,000 square feet.

Scope of Work

Concrete Pouring: Installed 8” thick curbs and walkways on the west and south ends of the facility.
Storm Drain Adjustment: Elevated the existing storm drain to align with the new storage area.
Structural Reinforcement: Installed structural reinforcements at all construction joints to enhance durability.
Application of Curing Agent: Ensured the poured concrete cured evenly and optimally.
Control Joints Cutting and Caulking: Added and sealed control joints to allow for concrete expansion and contraction.
Broom Finish Texture: Applied a broom finish for added surface traction, promoting a safer work environment.
