Our client, an industrial manufacturer, has a facility is equipped with 51 pieces of advanced machinery. Each machine is an integral part of the client's production line, which operates with a focus on precision and efficiency to meet stringent industry standards. With over a decade of operational excellence, they specialize in manufacturing highly sensitive equipment that requires meticulous maintenance.

Requested Maintenance

The facility required a thorough cleaning of the 51 machines, which were riddled with a stubborn adhesive residue. The challenge was to use a cleaning method that was robust enough to remove the residue without compromising the delicate nature of the components.

Scope of Work

Dry Ice Blasting: Comprehensive dry ice blasting.
Industrial Hand Cleaning: Hand cleaning using industrial degreasers.
Dustless Vacuuming: Use of HEPA-equipped dustless vacuums.
Off-Hours Work: Work performed during off-hours to avoid disrupting operations.
Area Tarping: Tarping of areas to ensure a clean and controlled environment.

Notable Details

The dry ice blasting method used utilized thermal shock to effectively vaporize and remove contaminants without damaging sensitive components. This technique was key to maintaining the integrity of the equipment while achieving thorough cleanliness.

The use of HEPA-equipped vacuums ensured that the work area remained dust-free and clean, in accordance with industry standards for a controlled work environment. This provided an added layer of safety and operational efficiency.

By scheduling the cleaning during off-hours, we ensured that the project could be completed without disrupting the facility's daily operations. This allowed the client to maintain their production schedule while benefiting from the cleaning services.

Different parts of the machine required different cleaning techniques. We selectively used industrial degreasers along with terry towels and microfiber cloths for sensitive components, and supplemented dry ice blasting for tougher residues.
