Our client, a prominent commercial property manager, oversees a wide range of industrial properties. This facility spans an impressive 600,000 sq. ft. The space had seen significant wear and tear over the years and needed a fresh look to effectively attract and accommodate the new tenant.

The imperative need for a quick turnaround and appealing aesthetic quality was the driving force behind this concrete polishing project. With tight deadlines and the necessity to prepare the space for incoming machinery and operations, concrete polishing emerged as the ideal solution.

Scope of Work

Initial Grinding and Crack Repair: We began by grinding the existing concrete surface and filled any visible cracks with specialized repair caulk.
Six-Step Grinding Process: Followed by a six-step grinding process, which included an intermediate application of a concrete densifier, enhancing the concrete's PSI by 2,000.
Polishing Stages: Achieving a high-gloss finish through four stages of polishing, involving incremental refinement of diamond tools.
Efficiency through Power Troweling: Utilized the power trowel method to efficiently polish over 18,000 sq. ft. per day, ensuring minimal impact on the overall timeline.

This polishing process not only provided a visually appealing, high-gloss finish, but also improved the durability of the floor, making it easy to maintain and safe for the new occupants.

The entire 600,000-square-foot project was completed in just 32 days. This fast turnaround was critical to the client's tight schedule and allowed them to lease the space quickly.

We used a combination of densifiers and fine-grit polishing techniques to ensure the strength and durability of the floor. This meticulous process is similar to sanding wood with progressively finer grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth, reflective finish.
