Client and Facility Overview

Our client, a leading global manufacturer of outboard motors, prioritizes innovation and quality in every aspect of their operations. With facilities around the world, their Wisconsin facility is a manufacturing hub that ensures the highest standards are maintained.

Requested Maintenance

Situated in Wisconsin, the facility required a significant overhaul to enhance both safety and efficiency. Dark, dirty industrial surfaces can create workplace hazards and reduce energy efficiency. To address these problems, our team at Painters USA was contracted to clean, paint, and thoroughly transform the ceiling, walls, and columns within the plant.

Scope of Work

Initial Preparations

Containment: We initiated the project by hanging plastic sheeting around the work area to contain and isolate the space.
Protection: Equipment, floors, and inventory within the work area were carefully covered to protect them from paint and debris.

Cleaning and Prepping

Ceiling Dust Removal: Using high-pressure air, we removed dust and contaminants from the ceiling to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Grease and Oil Removal: We wiped down all surfaces to remove grease and oil residues, ensuring a clean, primed surface for painting.

Painting

Ceiling: We sprayed the ceiling with PPG Epoxy Ester White Dry Fall to provide a clean, reflective surface that enhances lighting and reduces energy costs.
Piping: All pipes were color-coded and painted with two coats of Sherwin-Williams’ Industrial Enamel, using appropriate safety colors for clear identification and safety compliance.
Walls and Columns: The walls and columns were painted with two coats of industrial enamel and Promar 200 (semi-gloss), with a blue bottom and white top for a refreshed, clean look.

Final Cleanup

Debris Removal: Finally, we removed all protective plastic sheets and dusted the floors, leaving the plant spotless and operational.

We strategically planned and executed the project over a weekend to ensure there was no disruption to the client's workflow. This meticulous planning kept the project on time and on budget.
