This client, based in Chicago, Illinois, is renowned for its craft beers. Founded after a European inspiration, it operates a significant brewing facility, emphasizing the science of brewing with state-of-the-art equipment. The company is known for its rigorous standards, including a 143,000 sq. ft. barrel warehouse dedicated to its barrel-aged beers.
The brewery in Chicago features a complex brewing operation, including a 50 barrel JV Northwest 5 vessel system that operates round-the-clock. Their packaging line bottles 500 cases per hour, and the keg line processes 50 kegs every hour. The facility is designed for efficiency and quality, maintaining its beer at a crisp 38 degrees Fahrenheit until shipping.
The client needed a floor renovation in their brewery, covering 4,000 sq. ft. of flooring and 6,000 sq. ft. of ceiling. The urethane cement flooring was crucial for maintaining the facility’s integrity and meeting audit requirements.
The primary motivation for this project was the damaged and failing floor, essential for passing audits. The need to maintain operational standards and adhere to industry compliance was a significant factor.
Our client was highly satisfied with the completion of the project, which not only enhanced the functionality and safety of their facility but also ensured compliance with industry standards. The successful coordination and completion of the project within the scheduled shutdown period were particularly appreciated.
